It is no secret that we do deliveries of all sorts of items. We do a good amount of beer runs for folks. And are also happy to deliver you a bottle of wine from fine cuisine restaurants such as The Oven or The Parthenon. We also deliver from established local retailers such as Meier’s Cork ‘n Bottle. Whatever you are looking for we can probably find it in Lincoln.
Obviously there are some rules that one has to follow here. Your group must be willing so provide proof of age to accept delivery of alcoholic beverages. This many times means everyone in the general area. If it is obvious that mischief is afoot…we are required to report it. So please don’t cause us to have to ruin your party by asking us to do a delivery that is obviously against the law.
We also will be happy to deliver cigarettes and cigars also. Same general rule applies, if you look younger than thirty it is certain that we will ask you for your ID before handing you your smokes. This always seems so obvious but every now and then we do have to refuse delivery to someone for attempting to find a way around the system.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We have recently had to change our policy on Alcohol Deliveries. You MUST call in your order to The Still or another liquor store and have them take your credit card over the phone. Due to the current liquor laws in Nebraska the payment for the alcohol must take place completely at the store. The Still’s number is 402-423-1875. Please understand that these companies do reserve the right to not fulfill your order if they so choose.
Hello,
I needed a bottle of Jameson’s Irish Whiskey delivered to my friend in Lincoln for St Patricks Day.
How much would that cost——————-?
Thank You
Just give us a call. Typically alcohol orders run the standard $15.
Hello, I’m going to Southeast Community College and I’m going into Entrepreneurship. I want to open up my own liquor store someday (a few years from now). I’m writing a paper and I had a question about the delievery of alcohol. Are there certain guidelines you must follow? Can anybody (the drivers) check for the ID or is there any training they must do before hand?
Are there places you can’t deliever alcohol like near schools, etc?
Also, is there a cut off time you can’t deliever alcohol? The bars close at 2:00 am so is that when you can’t deliever it?
Any response would be helpful. Thank you!
Jed, a huge question there. For what we do we have some basic rules that we follow. We can only deliver as long as the stores are open to sell. We always check ID’s. And our drivers are told that if they are asked to deliver to a group of people, that EVERYONE must be willing to show their ID. Yes there are some places that do not allow delivery. We only deliver alcohol when stores are allowed to sell it. Basically we follow the same laws that everyone else has to follow. Most importantly if there are minors present, we charge for the alcohol but deliver it later to an adult without minors present. It is not worth it to even flirt with violating any of the liquor laws…
Would like to have liquor delivered to my
home. But need to know if they have what I
want. How do I do that?
There are some hoops we have to jump through in Nebraska. Give us a call and we can help you. We will have you call and place your order with one of the local liquor stores, you must pay the liquor store directly over the phone for the alcohol THEN we can deliver it. We can collect the delivery fee at your door BUT can NOT collect the payment for the alcohol itself at your door. It is just how the law is wrote.
BTW, N Street Drive Inn does not accept over the phone paid orders. You might want to update your website.
