This Saturday is the biggest game this season for the young Huskers. As some have called it a “game changer” for the season. Nebraska is the underdog in this fight but what a statement it would make if our boys can pull out all the stops and beat the Hokies. The Hokies are 1-1 on the season but last week put up some killer numbers against the Marshall Thundering Herd. BIG numbers…605 yards of which 444 of were on the ground! This weekend is going to be a very telling of our defensive progress. The Hokies won that game 52-10. We have also had some games so far that we really rolled over our opponents so far this year. But Saturday is going to be a big challenge. It is an opportunity for Nebraska to play a 14 to 15 ranked team for the first time this year. I don’t want to talk them up too much…they do have a loss this year already. But that was to the number 5 ranked Crimson Tide and that loss knocked VT out of the number 7 spot in the poles. So keep in mind if even the worst happens and everything looks grim, we are playing a top 15 ranked team. The game starts at 2:30 PM. We are going to be out and ready for your restaurant & beer deliveries. And I am sure I am not the only one a little nervous about this game.
