Misty’s Steakhouse will be opening their third location in Lincoln Nebraska to the general public on Monday, November 21st. There is a reservations only opening today.

Misty’s Steakhouse is a Lincoln original that opened their Havelock location back in 1963. It was originally called “Club 63” and was basically a bar. It may just be circumstance that it was opened in 1963 and is located at 63rd & Havelock. Food was added a few years later after a change in liquor license laws allowed restaurants to serve liquor. The restaurant quickly became known for their unique spices that were originally mixed in a large barrel and rolled around the alley behind the restaurant to ensure it was mixed well.

In Lincoln we have seen Misty’s Steakhouse grow. I remember going to the Havelock location when I was a small child. The downtown location replaced Crane River downtown lincoln in the early 2000’s.

Their new location is in Williamsburg right in front of the HyVee at 6001 Village Drive. For those not familiar with Lincoln, that is at 40th & Old Cheney Road. It is great to see a historic Lincoln restaurant that is on the move. Looking forward to seeing one in Omaha or Grand Island before to long!
