With all the excitement of some openings happening lately we passed over a very important event. Barry’s Bar and Grill at 9th & Q Street in Lincoln, Ne. closed for the final time this last Friday. This has been a Husker favorite for over two decades. Their food and establishment has been featured in several national publications. We are sad to see them go. There will still be some events catered there but as the the future of this location and what could be there in the future that is all up in the air at this point.

For those who are not familiar with this establishment it was also home to a treasure chest of Husker sports memorabilia. Also in the mix is some Kansas State stuff also. But needless to say this is a loss to our Haymarket area and we will be holding our breathe that something deserving of the shoes it will be filling moves into this location.

And congratulations to our Cornhuskers on an outstanding 9-3 season so far. We are looking forward to a January 2 bowl game in Florida. It has been a while since our team has see that area of the nation. GO BIG RED!
